To reduce its global footprint, Naked Juice has introduced the Naked reNEWabottle, made from 100 percent post-consumer recycled plastic. Unlike the product’s previous packaging, the reNEWabottle is clear and features a label calling out the bottle’s recycled materials. The line currently consists of 32oz bottles of Green Machine, Blue Machine, Mighty Mango, Chai Spiced Cider, Pomegranate Blueberry and Protein Zone. Naked Juice plans to transition its entire product line to the recycled PET bottles in 2010. According to U.S. Department of Transportation figures, this initial 32oz bottle transition reduces Naked’s virgin plastic consumption by one million pounds per year and oil use by 8,192 barrels every year.
