In the hope of better preserving the environment, the French National Assembly and Senate have adopted a law that limits the use of packaging in CPG items. But at what expense? Under this law, packaging must be as limited as possible while still respecting the need for product safety, hygiene and logistics. In essence, any packaging that isn’t needed to protect the product at retail or during distribution will be illegal.
