“Highly limited” edition for Hennessy

Having created the world’s first decanter-shaped spirits bottle in 1947, Hennessy Cognac has launched Hennessy X.O in a six-liter glass bottle inspired by that original packaging. The Hennessy X.O Mathusalem decanter is a “highly limited” collector’s edition that features elaborate jewel-like ornamentation on its neck seal. The bottle is housed in an embossed lambskin suitcase with brass hardware and is paired with a “fusil,”a stylized accessory reminiscent of the tool used by the brand’s cellar master to taste cognac direct from the cask. An auction in Las Vegas for the Lou Ruvo Brain Institute garnered a stunning $25,000 winning bid for one of the elaborate bottles. Only 300 have been produced worldwide.
