Transparent Container Co., Inc. acquires Richardson & Edwards, Inc., a paperboard printing company.

Transparent Container announces the acquisition of Richardson & Edwards, Inc., a privately held printer of paperboard folding cartons and other retail packaging solutions. The acquisition strengthens Transparent Container’s position as a leader in the consumer products packaging industry and compliments its current offering of plastic packaging solutions

“The acquisition builds on TCC’s commitment to servicing its customers and providing complete retail ready packaging solutions at a single manufacturing source,” says Scott Greiwe, president. “The location, culture and manufacturing capabilities at R&E align with TCC’s strategy for growth and will help meet the demands of our customers. Having the ability to design and manufacture a paper or plastic solution provides our customers with the widest selection of options for sustainability, performance, impact and supply chain efficiency.”

Established in 1947, R&E employs approximately 40 people and adds to TCC several new product technologies, a talented workforce and a paperboard manufacturing presence in Addison, IL.
