Ergonomic Aerosol Sprayer Introduced

The sprayer is specifically designed for sun care, spray deodorant and hairspray.

MeadWestvaco Corporation, a global leader in packaging and packaging solutions, recently announced the launch of Aerosense, an ergonomic aerosol sprayer specifically designed for products such as sun care, body spray deodorant and hairspray.

As more beauty care products are implementing ergonomic sprayers, Aerosense helps brands distinguish their products from more traditional push-button aerosol sprayers on the shelf by incorporating a trigger actuated sprayer into the design. MWV introduced the Aerosense aerosol sprayer at the PCD Congress and Aerosol & Dispensing Forum in Paris on February 6-7, 2013.

MWV’s Aerosense is designed to feature effortless actuation and a continuous, even spray pattern. Additionally, Aerosense has a locking feature to prevent the sprayer from unexpectedly activating in a bag or suitcase. The design provides a distinctive look and consumers enjoy a comfortable spray experience, ultimately helping to lead to increased brand loyalty.

“MWV has a strong legacy and expertise in aerosol dispensing solutions within the home and garden market. We’ve leveraged our insights and successes in that space to develop the Aerosense aerosol sprayer, which meets the market demand for an easy to use, attractive and distinct design for beauty products,” said Andrew Burrett, vice president, strategy and marketing, for MWV Beauty & Personal Care. “This solution will help brands differentiate in the increasingly competitive aerosol space within the beauty care market.”
