Call for Entries for 2014 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition Now Open

Included is a specific label and package contest that evaluates submissions within the following categories: Classical, Artistic, Whimsical/Cartoon, Series, Block, Etched/Painted, and Package Design.

The San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition (SFCWC) has issued a “Call for Entries” for its 2014 competition. The SFCWC utilizes a collaborative style of judging as it evaluates thousands of entries from around the country by judges from across the United States.

Included is a specific label and package contest that evaluates submissions within the following categories: Classical, Artistic, Whimsical/Cartoon, Series, Block, Etched/Painted, and Package Design. Entry fee is $65.00, and one bottle or wine label to be judged should be sent in. Entry deadline is November 26, 2013; wine is due December 17, 2013, public tasting is February 15, 2014. 

In February, the San Francisco Chronicle will publish a special section and post online the award winning wines for more than 1.7 million readers.
