Chocolate Bar Wrap Wins Best in Show Flexible Package

The package is designed to allow consumers to easily open and reseal chocolate bars.

Printpack received the Best Packaging in Flexible Plastics award for the patent-pending Full Access Reseal-It chocolate bar wrap. This award ceremony was held during the Best of Food and Beverage Packaging Seminar in Minneapolis, Minn. on May 1, 2014. Impressive packaging concepts were submitted that exemplify quality, creative design and use of innovative materials.

David Read, VP of marketing and technology for Printpack was there to accept the award. He expressed, “we are very proud to receive the 2014 Best of Food and Beverage Packaging award for flexible plastics. There were many outstanding packages in the competition so it is pleasing to come away with the highest honor. The Nestlé Wonka bar package is the first use of our Full Access Reseal-It (Pat. Pending) solution. The unique design allows the consumer to easily open the package, consume a portion of the chocolate bar and then reseal the package for a later time.”

The package was manufactured in the Printpack Europe Division of Printpack.
