Multinational > iPod family packaging

Apple has introduced new packaging for its iPod family of music players as part of a relaunch for the line-what Steve Jobs calls the “biggest change in the iPod lineup ever.”

The consumer electronics company launched redesigned versions of its iPod Nano, iPod Shuffle and the iPod Touch. The Nano, which is now 46 percent smaller, features a touchscreen; the Shuffle, smaller than the previous generation, features voice-over technology; and the iPod Touch, Apple’s most popular iPod, is now thinner and offers the company’s most advanced technology with more iPhone-like features.

The entire collection is housed in transparent rigid plastic casings that display the products but, at the same time, discreetly house the earphones and cables to power the devices. iPod is said to be the world’s most popular family of digital music players with more than 275 million sold. The products are available in Apple’s 300 retail stores and through authorized Apple retailers.
