New rum hits shelves just in time to boost Halloween spirits

BP1012_JO_Img5_I.jpgPumpkin Face Rum, a new line of ultra premium rum imported from the Dominican Republic, packaged in pumpkin-shaped bottles designed by Flowdesign and launched in September, encourages consumers to “celebrate the pumpkin.” According to Mark Itskovitz, president of Itsko Imports Inc., Pumpkin Face Rum is designed to “entice consumers who want something different from the run-of-the-mill products in the liquor aisle,” and “delivers high-quality packaging and taste that bring greater awareness to the rum category.” Dan Matauch, principal at Flowdesign, notes that attention to detail was a priority in the packaging design. Pumpkin Face Rum is available in three varieties in the U.S. and Canada, each in a different color sculpted glass bottle with a pedestal base that features the brand name embossed on the package.
