Just BARE Chicken has adopted packaging that lets shoppers trace each bird to the family farm where it originated. Sold nationally at SuperTarget and regionally at Hy-Vee and other chains, the new brand features a “Family Farm Code” on each package; consumers enter the three-digit code on the brand’s web site to learn about the independent family farm that reared the chicken and the conditions under which the bird was raised. A recyclable, transparent plastic tray and clear film lid offer a nearly 360-degree view of the product, replacing the traditional foam tray used by other manufacturers and, at the same time, reinforcing the brand’s focus on “transparency”.
