Kitchen and housewares retailer Lakeland was looking for greener packaging that would also reinvent traditional packaging design. The result is a new pan range called Tri Ply. With the goal of reducing waste and being eco-friendly, the tripod-shaped packaging also increases space efficiency for transportation and merchandising compared with standard rectangular boxes. “Tri Ply has it all-its dynamic shape is eye-catching for consumers whilst ingeniously cutting waste and material costs for the retailer,” says Vicky Bembridge of Nicepond, which designed the packaging. “It also communicates the benefits of the product-which has an energy saving triple layer of stainless steel and aluminum for fast, efficient heat transfer.” (Package design: Nicepond, www.nicepond.com)
