This fall, the Lucini Italia Company introduces the first branded Parmigiano Reggiano cheese to the American market. Cheese makers in Parma, Italy, hand cut the certified organic cheese into an 8oz wedge and vacuum seal it, then package it in a paperboard carton with a die-cut window that reveals the textured rind. The carton provides consumers with the convenience of nutrition information and a “Denominazione di Origine” (DOP) symbol that guarantees the product’s origin to be Northern Italy. The new Lucini Organic Parmigiano Reggiano will retail at a suggested price of $25 in premium grocery stores and specialty food markets.
