I couldn’t write a story about craft beer without talking about the people behind the segment. For the first time ever, I had the privilege of attending the Craft Brewers Conference last month in Washington, D.C. and got a behind-the-scenes look at craft brewing, the people behind the segment, and the businesses that are involved in the processing and packaging of this popular drink.
Crown Holdings Inc. recently opened a new beverage can manufacturing plant in Nichols, New York. The state-of-the-art plant, which marks the industry’s first greenfield facility in the U.S. in more than 20 years, will support the country’s growing demand for specialty beverage cans.
Shock Top is shaking things up as it rolls out its first major brand refresh in its history. The brand will introduce an entirely new look and feel that still embodies the carefree spirit that is authentic to Shock Top but with a fresh, youthful optimism.
Manufacturers of energy drinks and other ready-to-drink beverages can also utilize the new format to refresh their packaging mix and enhance their brand image to attract younger, more active consumers.
